Poker deals can work. I do a little of it myself. Alas however the deals that Glenn is talking about aren't practical because of the endless shuffling. But then he didn't claim it to be. Not once in this long thread did he say he actually intended to

Thanks Mark - as I said in the thread I talked about restaurants there is not enough time to do any fancy - clever - poker deals. I find a lot of them to involved with to many moves and a lot of them have a to involved set up.

Hey Mark - Heba Habba Al did work blue in the bar situation and I don't know if he ever did not work the bar situation. My what reminded me of Heba was the skill and the quick entertaining wit humor that you use when entertaining audiences.

I saw another of Glenn's videos. Again too much shuffling for my liking. I think this is a daft discussion anyway and not worth the venom and rudeness. Fighting over a silly shuffle when there are more important things in magic to worry about. I am q

Dan, Sounds like you have a nice complete set, with the box and contents. I could check to see if any of my instruction booklets would work for the 1948 model. Tell us more about the career of Roy and Helene.

Acrually, Luis de Matos' new DVD set, "Extreme" deals with stunts like walking on coals. Not cheap at $190 for 4 DVDs. Not recommended as a Christmas present for your nephew, little Timmy.

Actually I got a red-hot coal wedged between my toes once. Granted, it was a blazing campfire and I was drunk. The soles of my feet were fine though. Yes, I'm an idiot.

Dan,
You'll have a bit of trouble getting "B" batteries as I don't believe they're made any longer.
You'll find instructions for a replacement you can make here: http://www.techlib.com/electronics/B-battery.htm

Joe, don't ask anyone else if you're right: you go straight to the supermarket and buy a nice big bag of charcoal briquettes. Light 'em up, get 'em nice and red hot, and then take a walk over them--then let us know if it works.
And if you
