I am sorry to hear of his passing.
Wonderful writer.
I've always thought a film version of "Mr. Mysterious & Co." would be great.

J.C. truly is one of magic's greats. I saw him lecture many years ago and he was incredible. I then say him again a couple of years ago at the Little Club and he was nice enough to buy me a drink. I was then fortunate enough to spend some time with J

Last night I was thinking about Sid and pulled out "The Blue Bug" that he wrote with Bob Gunther, published by Lloyd Jones back in 1947. All magic with cigarette papers...good stuff, too.

Perhaps this has been mentioned before, but I peeled the Borders price tag off of a book and attached it to the cover on my Mother book test. This makes the book look more "real".

What a shame; it's tough to realize that I'll chat with Sid no more. I missed seeing him at the last LA conference, as he had a conflicting commitment. Sid was a class guy, and a wonderful companion over lunch or just a chat on magic or any number

Since I don't currently have Harkey & Anderson's "AH-HA" I am unable to confirm whether or not "Scatterbrained" is EXACTLY the book test that Tim Conover features in his performances or merely one of the several that are very simil

Rats, I had just emailed him birthday wishes, as he had turned 90 last week. Sid contributed one of the better ideas to The Little Egypt Book of Ghosts. He was always a first-rate magician. Because he had been on my mind, I read The Abracadabra Kid l

The effect performed by Tim Conover, described by Dick above, can be found in David Harkey & Eric Anderson's "AH-HA". The title of the trick is "Scatterbrained". It kills.

Got to see J.C. working the bar in San Diego. Half, to three-quarters of the Magic-Con attendees went out to see him.
It was all I remember from my days as a drunken sailor in San Diego m
