If you go to the Japanese version of Tenyo's official website here:
http://www.tenyo.co.jp/magic/info/index.html

You will see a red button at the top called "New Products."

Click it and you will be brought to a page with the five new tricks.

Just to the immediate left at the bottom of the image of each trick is a clickable link (Japanese characters in blue).

Click on that and you'll be brought to a new page.

Click on the red button that says "Flash" and you can watch a movie of that trick.

And all 5 Japanese versions are available for sale on eBay from the wonderful seller Magico-Japan. Excellent service from that seller!

I had high hopes for the Shrinking Pen but watching the Tenyo performance made the gimmick seem even more obvious. Looking forward to Floating Card and Illusion Truck.

Originally wasn't sold on Illusion Truck as its also pretty obvious but this alternate YouTube performance makes it seem a little more enticing:

Seems like one of the better line ups this year. Great to see something new from Angelo Carbone as well. Still - sad once again to see nothing new from Lubor Fiedler. Maybe next year...

By the way - A nice idea for a book would be to detail the history of Tenyo magic. They have released some fascinating principles and ideas over the years. It would be great to appreciate some of that thinking between the covers of a book...

It would be very difficult to do a book because the company itself doesn't have most of the items it sold from the 1930s through the late 1960s. I don't of anyone who even has a complete run of every Tenyo item from the 1960s through the current stuff.

Angelo's Carbone's 'Floating Card' is absolutely incredible. I was lucky enough to see a prototype which fooled me and the finished product is even better. The gimmick is a work of art and it's the sort of thing you will play around with day after day smiling to yourself as you watch the card float up and down. You can even do the effect with a borrowed deck. I think it's the best floating card effect around.

I'd still love to read a history of their magic - even an incompete one. Though you're point is taken, even just looking at their web site they only have info from 1969 on. I like the development stories online and there was that Tannen's magazine but there's so much more to cover.

Early on did they mainly reproduce other people's ideas? I see Cubio is very old but I've always associated it with Tenyo.

Yes. Got it on Friday and it's really great. Played with it a bunch last night and it looks soooooo cool.

I mentioned on Magic Cafe that the Magico's English instructions are excellent so no need to wait for the English version. Though I may well pick up a second if there's going to be an English one. Seems to be worth having an extra of that prop.

What do you mean "Magico's English Instructions?" If Magico is having illegal translations done of the instructions and selling them, that would be a copyright violation.

I assume its his own translation of the instructions or his English version of how the trick is done. You'd understand the legalities better than I but if someone owns a Japanese trick are they not allowed to tell you, in English, how to do it? Assume you're talking about a "translation" and I'd have no way to know if the instructions are a translation or not.

Just to be clear, he states in the eBay listing what he is providing to English speaking buyers. Doesn't appear that Tenyo has an issue with it, in fact he apparently has a pretty good relationship with the company (or so he says).

He can write new instructions in English, but it would be a violation of copyright to translate Tenyo's Japanese instructions into English without their written permission. And why would Tenyo allow that since they are going to put out official English-language editions of the tricks within a month or so?

It's a fair question though they may not know. If I were an American or UK distributor I guess I'd be ticked off. Maybe by being on eBay he's flying under the radar of distributors or even Tenyo?
