Impossible Objects (1994)

Subtitled ‘Michael Weber’s Journal of Irreproducible Results’, this wonderful booklet is long out-of-print and very rare.

It contains the real work on the effect of a large ice cube penetrating into a bottle (which may be given away) as well as four other effects which conclude with normal objects in impossible conditions, all of which may be given away as souvenirs.

$140 including Airmail to anywhere in the world.

Several people have inquired as to the full contents, so here they are:

The 'Impossible Objects' notes are 14 pages long, and consist of 5 effects in total:

Ice Cube: Using a napkin as a funnel, the performer takes a single ice cube from a glass on the table and causes the oversized ice cube to penetrate into the bottle. All can now be inspected, but the ice cube cannot be removed as it is many times larger than the neck of the bottle. This is an incredible effect and looks even better than it sounds!

Inside Out: A SIGNED book of matches magically turns permanently inside out, the original interior now being on the outsude and the matches are now stapled within what was once the exterior.

Links: At the conclusion of almost any rubber band routine you link two bands almost as an afterthought and leave them with the spectator as a souvenir.

Gaffect: A self-contained rising card effect where the performer encircles the pack with a rubber band to make it more impossible. The selections rises apparently penetrating the rubber band. The performer stops the card when it has partially risen from the pack. Upon removing the card, the performer reveals that the rubber band is actually penetrating the card through the point at which it stopped rising - and the spectator gets to keep the impossibly linked objects!

In: Weber's classic bottle cap into bottle. No gimmicks and the spectator can keep the bottle. Sets up in seconds.

All 5 effects leave the spectator with a permanent, examinable, impossible object that they can keep.

Thanks,

Royce K.
