Rene was a sweatheart. I only met her once in 1987 at SAM in Las Vegas.

I enjoyed sending her a Christmas card every year and hearing back from her. A couple years ago, I could not reach her so I inquired about her through a Toronto friend. I learned that she had moved out of her home in to a nursing home.

She was always some caring and kind. Often offers some encouragement to the things in life that hit us all. I always enjoyed her notes and letters.

Few people realize that while Sid did the drawings for all the Abbott's stuff and many others (including the early IBM and Marshall ads), it was Rene who went over them all and inked them.

God bless her and her family. RIP and enjoy a glass of Franisa with your beloved Sid.

i have very fond memories of rene when i
was a little girl at the CNE.

i treasure a photo taken by my p's of me
next to the world's smallest zig zag talking
to Uncle Sid, Rene and Bruce Postgate.
