Absorption is a card effect by Paul Harris in which a card is 'absorbed' into the design on the back of a card case during a 'memory test'. Paul calls this a 'sort of cardician's whoopee cushion'.

First published in Las Vegas Close Up (1978) and included in Art of Astonishment Vol 1 page 175 (1996)
