P.H. Vanishing Deck is a gimmick developed by Paul Harris, allowing you to vanish a deck just pulled out from a card box. Originally marketed by Jerry Mentzer's Magic Methods (1973).

Also published in his book Art of Astonishment, Vol. 1 (1996).

Variations

  • Air of Mystery in Close-up Seductions by Paul Harris (1984) was an interesting attempt to simplify a Vanishing Deck using a gaff that could be set up on the fly.
  • Just a Little Shaver by Stephen Minch in Genii, March 1997, page 30. - A modified version of the gimmick is used to make a card box appear to contain a deck of cards and then later vanish.
  • EXIT51 by Ben Harris (2003)
  • DVD Pimpin by Nathan Kranzo (2008) uses the same gimmick to help transform a deck of cards into a wad of money.
