In the early days at the Castle, Jay made a point of remembering everybody's name, along with the names of their wives, children, dogs and cats. Months after meeting them, and sometimes years, he'd call the person by name.
He was technical adviser on many films including the Cincinnati Kid and Flim-Flam Man. Jay died just two months after The Flim-Flam Man was released.
