Michael Perovich, an engineer and amateur magician in Los Angeles, was a frequent visitor of the Magic Castle and friend of Dai Vernon.

Perovich was the person whom started referring to Bruce Cervon's notebooks as the "Castle Notes". He used to keep notes too, which he discusses in the forward of the Castle Notebooks Vol 1 (2007).
