Folding Coin is a Gaff sold by most magic shops.

One of the first books to publish this concept was Modern Magic (1876, page 203) in relation with a fake wand to produce a coin by Professor Hoffmann and it was further explained in his next book, More Magic (1890, page 309).[1]

It is usually associated with the Coin in the Bottle trick.
