Marcello Truzzi (1935 - 2003) was a skeptic that co-founded the Committee for the Scientific Investigation of Claims of the Paranormal.
Born in Copenhagen, his father was a circus juggler. The family had their own troupe called Circus Truzzi where Marcello performed as a clown.
Truzzi was a chairman of the sociology department at Eastern Michigan University and was co-founder of the Committee for the Scientific Investigation of Claims of the Paranormal (CSICOP). However, he later would disassociate himself from this organization, believing most skeptics were were more interested in debunking than investigating. [1]
