Long Beach Mystics is a Southern California magic club for young magicians, with little to no adult supervision, that produced an amazing array of professional magicians. It was founded in 1955 in Long Beach, California by Herbert L. "Brownie" Brown. The club met in the backroom of Brownies Hobby and Magic Shop on the last Saturday of each month. Les Arnold was president of the Long Beach Mystics in 1962. The club lasted for over 30 years.
Some well known magicians from this club include Mark Kalin, Kevin James, Dirk Arthur, Mike Caveney, Michael Weber, Stan Allen and Dana Daniels.
