James Kennedy (c. 1879-?), who started performing at the age of 12, performed later as Kennedy the Mystifier".
Biography
Kennedy was very active in the magic community. He was one of the organizers of the National Conjurers Association, a chairman of the Brotherhood of Magicians and a Knight of the Central Mystic League.
His act over the years consisted of Escape from Mail bags, Paper bags, Handcuffs and Shackles. Illusions including "The Levitation of Princess Obertia," "The Prisoner of Zenda", and a "Triple Trunk Mystery".
