For the last part of her time in Russia she was held in the cellar of a hotel for 3 month. Her materials, which were not magic related, were pillaged and lost. Ionia (b.1883-d.1973), Clementine de Vere. Last daughter of magicians Charles De Vere and Okita, began performing in 1910 as "Ionia, the Goddess of Mystery" and "The Enchantress".
Biography
Ionia is the stage name for Clementine de Vere. She was born in Brussels, Belgium in 1888. She married Herman Weedon, an American lion tamer, on May 5th 1904.
