Nicoli (1847-1903), born John McNicol and the father of Nicola (William Nicol) and Von Arx (Charles Nicol), was a conjuror who migrated from Scotland to the United States.[1]

Biography

Nicoli’s father was also a magician who flourished in Glasgow, Scotland.

He changed his name first to Nicol when arriving in the United States and later to Nicoli.

Nicoli operated a photo studio in Monmouth.
