Lewis Ganson ( 1913 - December 22, 1980) was born in Britain and went on to become one of the most prolific writers in magic with over 60 books to his credit.

For years, he was editor of Harry Stanley's GEN and contributor to MAGIGRAM magazines.

He received the Academy of Magical Arts's first Literary Fellowship in 1968.

He was a vice president of the British RING of the [[IBM].
