- 1907 - Richard Himber (1900-1966), a famous as a bandleader and magician, is born.
- 1953 - Arthur Buckley died.
- 1966 - Homar Woulffe, magician who helped Doc Wilson get out The Sphinx, dies in Chicago.
- 1977 - Le Grand David and His Spectacular Magic Company premieres in Beverly, Massachusetts, which goes on to become the longest running "Resident Magic Show" in history.
