British Magical Journal is the official journal of The British Magical Society.

From 1906 until 1912 the Magic Circular included "the transactions of The Magic Circle and of the affiliated British Magical Society." This ceased in 1913 with the publication the British Magical Journal.

The final issue of the initial publication run was Vol. 1, No. 10.[1]

The BMS published 'Monthly Note and Minutes' until April 1936.

The 'BMS Journal' was published bi-monthly from June 1936 and in June 1947 the name changed to 'The Journal' with the strap line 'Official Organ of the British Magical Society'.

By the early 1960's it was just the 'BMS News' losing the strap line.

In September 2023, under the editor Jim McLean, the BMS News reverted to its original name the British Magical Journal.
