Hideo Kato
Born1943

Hideo Kato (born 1943) was for many years a part of the brain trust at Tenyo.

Biography

When Hideo became interested in magic when at thirteen after buying some Tenyo Magic items. He went to work part-time as a magic demonstrator for Tenyo while attending college. This inspired him to become a member of the Tenyo Company. His first major contribution for Tenyo was with their puzzles.

He became interested in becoming a stage magician so he studied music hoping to become a 'Singing Magician,' which is how he performed four different times on television.

He left Tenyo and opened the Kato Magic Studio and started a publishing business. Publishing his magazine and books was not a success and he had to give it up. When he was looking for a new job, Mr. Akira Yamada (the president of Tenyo at that time) invited him to come back to Tenyo.
