Part One traces Del Ray's career through his adolescent years in an orphanage where he performed his first paid show for $3, to his rise in fame during the 1950s. It describes the development of a his approach to close-up magic that enabled him to demand fees as high as $10,000 a week.
Part Two contains eight effects from his repertoire, most described by Gary Plants.
