Wilfrid Allan (1904-1938) was a professional society magician who often played at Maskelyne's.[1]

Biography

Educated at the Merchant Taylor's School, Wilfrid started with an advertising career, but eventually took up magic as a full time profession. He was twice booked for Royal Command performances though on each occasion illness prevented his attending.[2]

Allan joined the Magic Circle in 1927. He was promoted to A.I.M.C. in 1932 and was called to full membership of the Inner Circle in 1934. He was a frequent performer at the Circle Socials, Banquets and Closed Meetings.[3]
