Jack Burch, born in Albany, New York was a prominent magician of the mid-west, Chicago area.

As an amateur he was giving performances by 1883 and then made his professional debut at the Leland Opera House in Albany on May 16, 1888.

Burch moved west in 1890 and has made Chicago his home. Assisted by his wife, he was one of the most popular club and society entertainers.
