Jacob Zemon was a magician and restaurant owner in Baltimore, Maryland.
Biography
Zemon came to Baltimore when a small boy and opened a small lunch room on High Street and eventually operated the Bell Lunch Room at 308 Light Street the last eight years of his life.
In 1898, it was reported in Mahatma that he was playing fairs and clubs around Baltimore and preparing to go on the road.[1]
On August 2, 1903, Zemon was seriously burned, one of the four victims, in a gasoline explosion at the Bell Lunch Room. He would die a few days later leaving a widow, and four children (Rachael, 6 years old, Abraham 5, Samuel 18 months and Solomon 3 months).[2]
