Read the Publisher's Note by Mike Caveney in Versatile Card Magic, because according to Mike "By the year 2002, Frank Simon was quite simply an enigma."

He is a friend of Earl Nelson and he wrote only one book which became a cult classic.

Also a friend of Richard Kaufman. Richard related in Genii about Frank having a debilitating stoke in 1985. He was paralyzed on his right side, unable to speak clearly or read. At the time of his stroke, Frank had been living in New York City for a couple of years and was planning a second book. Unfortunately he was hospitalized before he could write it.
