Argus Herman(1879-1943) performed as "Argus The Great" and was at one time one of the oldest magicians in the business.

Biography

Argus was adept with small and manipulative magic. His biggest success was as a feature during the early Chautauqua circuits throughout the Middle West.

He had made his home in Indianapolis for many years and was an early member of the Indiana Society of Magicians.

His wife was a daughter of Ed Reno.
