Multeffect Cards or Multeffect Deck, a stacked deck with short/long pairs, created by Val Evans and marketed in 1920.

Ad in Sphinx, August 1920

Eighteen tricks with this deck were described in The Jinx Winter Extra (1936-1937), along with how to make the deck. Some of the effects which can be performed are:

  • Removing the deck from its case, they are shown back and front to be facing one way. On command every alternate card is found reversed.
  • Any card is selected and you instantly name it correctly.
  • You cut an odd or even number of cards as desired.
  • The spectator cuts the pack. You tell him whether odd or even.
