Al Thatcher (1917-2005) performed a humorous style club act and was was a founding member of the Wheeler McGory Ring 7 of the International Brotherhood of Magicians.

Biography

Thatcher became interested in magic at the age of 13. In joined the I.B.M. in 1930. A loyal member to Ring 7 in Columbus, he held the position of President of Ring 7 a few times and many more times as Secretary-Treasurer.

Thatcher developed a humorous style club act, preferring card magic. Nick Trost was a frequent visitor to his home for card sessions. He was also a fixture at many Magi-Fest conventions often provided Bill Miesel with effects for his periodical Precursor.[1][2]
