Al Zink (?-c.1960s) was a magician in the Detroit area. He M.C. and performed at Abbott's Get-Together in the 1940s.
Biography
Many of his effects in Abbott's catalog were created in collaboration with Al Munroe including Coke Surprise, Daylight Production Screen, Color-changing Spheres, and Improved Liquid Appear.
He served as president of IBM Ring 22 in Detroit and his Coin Production was published in Tarbell Course in Magic - Volume 3
The Tops issue for January 1963, Karrell Fox ran a picture of Al Zink with Al Munroe and stated "Detroit's two beloved Als (both deceased)". Jay Marshall reported that Zink died in jail.[1]
A photograph of Zink can be viewed on the Conjuring Arts exhibit "Many Faces of Magic"[2]
