Biography

ALBERT FRANCIS DRINKWATER FORREST (Born Aug. 9, 1903) was a part-time magician, mentalist and author, who lived the majority of his life in the USA. Born in Airdrie, Scotland, he immigrated to the US in 1926.

Magic dealer advertisements during the 1930s show that Albert created at least two effects, which were offered by the H. Marshall Co. One of these, “Foxy Felix or Find the Cat,” is described in this book. The other, “The Transmitting Ray of Concentration” was said to have won a prize at a convention, based on a 1933 ad in the Linking Ring.

Albert and his wife, Margaret, moved to Glendale, California in the early 1960s, where he sold insurance.

Forrest passed away on August 14, 1979 at age 76. He is interred at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Cypress, CA.
