The Brotherhood of Auckland Magicians (BAM) was formed in 1945. It has a focus on membership from working professional and semi-professional magicians. The club promotes goodwill, mutual respect and co-operation amongst active performing magicians and instills respect and loyalty for the personal inventions, specialties and routines of fellow magicians.[1]

The BAM are the custodians of the Grand Master of Magic Award®, the highest honour for a New Zealand magician.[2]
