Charles Roltare (February 4 1872 - October 14 1932), born Charles Roltare Eggleston in Bloomfield, Iowa. Roltare began touring with acting and minstrel companies and then as a professional magician in 1898 with vaudeville.
Roltare was the first editor of the Society of American Magicians' magazine, M-U-M (1911-1912)
