Charles Roltare (1872-1932), born Charles Roltare Eggleston in Bloomfield, Iowa, began touring with acting and minstrel companies and then as a professional magician in 1898 with vaudeville.
Biography
He made an appearance at the 1893 World's Fair in Chicago.
Roltare was the first editor of the Society of American Magicians' magazine, M-U-M (1911-1912)
