Clint Riedel (1908-1995), an East Coast part-time stage magician, was a sign painter and artist by trade.

Biography
Inspired in 1920 seeing a Thurston show, Riedel started performing full-time after retiring as a sign painter in 1937. He specialized in silk manipulation.
With his wife, Millie, the couple first did tent shows, but changed to auditorium and shows in halls after the birth of their son. They performed a two-hour magic show about 100 times a year for 20 years, retiring the show in 1960.
Riedel was also an apparatus builder for U.F. Grant and others in the 1930s until the 1970s. In 1951, he built a magic show for Arthur Godfrey. He invented Rice Box to Lantern.[1]
