George De Roze from Switzerland presented an act titled "The Wonder Barman" as early as 1936 in Europe and America. He produces any drink called for by the audience, and closed his act by producing a pitcher of punch and changing it to fire and his version of the ink and water transposition.

His act was described in Holdens' Programmes of Famous Magicians.
