Del Ray (1927-2003), born Delbert Raymond Petrosky in Hubbard, Ohio, was known for his magical act involving electronics.

Biography

Del joined the U.S. Navy at age 16. He met Harry Blackstone, Sr. and went on tour as his assistant. Afterward, he began working in night clubs and by the beginning of the 1950s, he had begun work on his magical act involving electronics. He was also known for his Dice Stacking routine.

The Wilmington, North Carolina IBM Ring No. 248 is also known as the Del Ray Ring.

A Del Ray performance were described by Walter Zaney Blaney in Genii 1965 August.

A Del Ray book is being written by John Moehring, with publication expected by late 2010.
