Dr. Carlosbach (fl. 1820s), perhaps a German, was a street magician who toured France.

Biography

He performed the Cups and Balls and sold little books of trick.

Robert-Houdin, as a young boy, saw him perform in Blois in 1824 and described him in his Memoirs of Robert-Houdin (1859) as a "Conjurer and Professor of Mystification."[1]
