Earle G. Heyl (1879-1960) was a semi-professional magician who did with a conjuring act as "Sedrick Hoyt", who also performed under were "Chuckling Doo" and "I Make Faces".

Biography

Heyl started in Philadelphia, moving to Baltimore in 1933. An early member of the SAM (card No. 1780) and the IBM (card No. 331), he did 26 radio shows on magic history and anecdotes in late 1940s.

He was the father of magic collector Edgar G. Heyl (1911-1993) and cousin of vaudeville singer Jack Norworth (1879-1959) who was an amateur magician.[1][2]
