Ed Rosenthal (c.1934-2010) was a magician, collector, and mentor of many. He was possibly the first magician to work in the venue of "shopping malls" in 1961.[1]

Biography

Rosenthal was inspired to learn magic after seeing his father perform a simple trick then going to the library to read every book he could find on magic.

He performed under the name Edwardo and premiered a week of shows at Shopper's World in Framingham, Massachusetts in 1961.

Rosenthal produced a number of the "Boston Magicales" in the 1960s and 1970s, some of the largest, most successful magic conventions of the time. After retiring from his hearing aid business, he moved to Arizona in the 1970s, maintaining his involvement with both the SAM and IBM . He was noted for his collection of magic books and apparatus.[2]
