Elbert Gardner (c.1933-2014) is best known for his Sho-Gun Wallet, worked for the New York State Department of Labor.

Biography

Gardner joined I.B.M. in 1967, becoming a member of the Order of Merlin Shield (for thirty-five years of continuous membership).

He earned degrees from Oswego State University in New York and Penn State University, and served in Japan with the U.S. Navy.

For over 40 years he worked for the New York State Department of Labor, retiring in 1989. [1][2]
