Expert Card Technique:Close-Up Table Magic by Jean Hugard and Fred Braue contains the methods of the best card magicians including Charlie Miller, Dai Vernon, Theo Annemann, Bert Allerton, Cliff Green, Gerald L. Kaufman, Harold Lloyd, Jack McMillen, Jack Merlin, Paul Rosini and Luis Zingone.

Charles Miller in particular gave many of his favorite methods for the book.

The book is broken down into six parts: (1) Sleights, (2) Flourishes, (3) Technique, (4) Tricks, (5) Miscellaneous, and (6) Misdirection and Presentation.

It was illustrated by Donna Allen.

It's been said that Dai Vernon was a bit annoyed with how much of his material ended up in the book which is why they gave him a special section in the third edition.
