Fergus Anckorn, a semi-professional magician, performed as WIZARDUS.
He endlessly practiced conjuring tricks until, at 18, he was elected the youngest member of the Magic Circle (and in 2011 the oldest member). He performed in French, Dutch, English and Japanese.
During the war he was taken prisoner at Singapore and did almost four years as a P.O.W. He worked on the Burma Railroad, immortalized in the movie "Bridge On The River Kwai". During this time he performed with food and beverages as a way to get food (or cigarettes) from his captors.[1][2][3]
