Fred Clayton (fl. 1915-1917) performed an act called "The Mystery Gun" starting around 1915.
Biography
The act was based around an illusion in which a girl was fired from a large cannon through a sheet of iron.[1]
Claydon played the part of a young officer and the illusion was considered baffling to a degree with a vein of broad comedy running through the sketch.[2]
