Frederick Furman was an amateur magician.[1]
In 1920, along with Simon Kottwitz, formed the F & K Magic Co. in Houston, Texas, which manufactured and sold small, easy-to-do tricks.[2]
Furman was a President of the Houston Mystic Circle and contributor to Thayer's Magical Bulletin (including a column called PAGES FROM AN AMATEUR CONJUROR'S NOTE-BOOK) and Sphinx
In the 1930s, Furman moved to New York City where he worked for Max Holden's Broadway Magic Shop and the Steen Mfg. Co.[3] [4]
