Gene Devoe bought the magic shop from Will Lindorst & operated Devoe's Magic Den in downtown St. Louis & started many a young magician into the Magic art. A true performer, he was always behind the counter with the latest trick & a storu. Devoe also produced & manufactured several magic tricks under the Devoe name.
He was a Master magician & showman, he entertained widely in the Midwest. As a magic dealer & leader in his profession, he as highly respected throughout the United States. He was co-founder of the Midwest Magic Jubilee & a long term, active leaders in SAM assembly 8 & IBM Ring One.
