"Uncle" George Wallman (?-1981) was one of England's leading children's entertainers for more than thirty years who made most of his own props and puppets. For fifteen summer seasons he presented children's entertainment in the ballroom of Blackpool Tower.

Biography

Starting out semi-professionally until turning pro after World War 2 in 1945, he extended his repertoire to include ventriloquism and Punch and Judy. For twenty-five years,Wallman presented 'Gulliver's Puppets' with his wife Betty. Ill health forced him to retire in 1976.[1]

He was Gold Medalist of the London Society of Magicians, and an Associate of the Inner Magic Circle.
