Gustave G. Laureyns (1866-1942), an architectural engineer, performed as G. G. Laurens. During the first World War, he appeared in many Army camps and naval stations as an entertainer, but he never appeared professionally.

Biography

Professionally held numerous patents on his inventions in the engineering and building fields.[1]

A native of Bruges, Belgium, he later moved to Brooklyn, New York. He would join the S.A.M. as member number 203 and become an associate with Houdini and Thurston.[2]

David Devant extended an invitation for Laureyns to produce some of his effects on the stage at St. George's Hall.
