Herbert M. Richmond was a Baptist Minister and semi-professional ventriloquist and magician who began performing in 1919 as "Richmond the magician".
His specialty was patter building effects into a sequence. He did patter for Thayer items.[1]
Richmond was a contributor to Sphinx and Thayer's Magical Bulletin submitting patter for many effects.
In the patter included in Lots of Lawton (1971), he is stated as the "late" Richmond from Iowa.
