J. W. Wilson (1876-?) was a magician from Buffalo, New York.

Biography

Wilson became interested while young as was performing for friends by the age of 18. Branching out, he added illusions and signed with the United Booking Offices for their circuit.

He also performed in and around Wilmington, Delaware, with Magic, Illusions, and Punch and Judy.[1]

The "Buffalo New York Notes" in the May 1922 issue of The Sphinx reports Wilson specializing with cards on a pure sleight. Later, in the February 1929 Linking Ring article "JUST AS EASY IF ONLY THE MAGICIAN IS WATCHED", Wilson is reported attending an evening of magic at the home of Charles C. Arras in Buffalo, New York.
