Several of his routines he developed were published in the Stars of Magic series. He also took the photographs for Dai Vernon's Royal Monte and Slydini's The Art of Using the Lap as a Servante.

He has a chapter on the side steal in the third edition of Expert Card Technique. Daley's favorite book was The Expert at the Card Table.

He died suddenly following a luncheon show before the Art Directors Club, in New York where he had just finished performing a version of Vernon's The Travelers and his Cavorting Aces.
