Jay Ose (November 6, 1911 - November 5, 1967) was a close-up performer who worked nightclubs and became one of the first resident magicians at the Magic Castle.[1]
Biography
In the early days at the Castle, Jay made a point of remembering everybody's name, along with the names of their wives, children, dogs and cats. Months after meeting them, and sometimes years, he'd call the person by name.[2]
He was technical adviser on many films including the Cincinnati Kid and Flim-Flam Man. Jay died just two months after The Flim-Flam Man was released.
